As per the News, development committee of Parliament has already directed the government to dismiss the allowance which the traffic police used to get from fine collected for violating traffic rules. The traffic police have only been benefitted 15% allowance out of the overall collection they have made till the date approximately. This was highly criticized by the public who urged they gets fined without any violation of the rule. So, this new rule will surely reduce the incidents of being charged without violation of the rule. This is not a bad news for traffic police because development committee has also directed the government to distribute the collected fine amount on an equal basis to the traffic police.
But again, discussion on this new system is not over. Critics also reported that this new system will make traffic police more corrupt. Previously also, traffic police are accused of bypassing government income by taking bribes from rule violators.
Paying penalty or fine is not what people do as they wish. It is often because they have an obligation.
